Montreal, July 8, 2026 — Amilia, a leading registration and membership management software provider for community organizations, is taking its partnership with the YMCA beyond sponsorship by serving as the exclusive Volunteer Sponsor of the 21st YMCA World Council, Transform. As part of this commitment, 16 employees from across Canada will travel to Toronto to volunteer on-site, thus reflecting the company's belief that meaningful partnerships are built through shared experiences.
Held once every four years, YMCA World Council brings together delegates from more than 100 countries to shape the future of the global YMCA Movement. During the event, Amilia employees, representing teams across the company, will guide delegates through cultural excursions, helping create a welcoming environment where every participant feels included. Together, they will contribute more than 160 volunteer hours, bringing Amilia's "Better Together" value to life by working alongside the communities the company serves every day.
For years, Amilia has partnered with YMCAs across North America through registration and membership management technology. Volunteering at World Council offers another way to strengthen those relationships by connecting with YMCA leaders, learning from their experiences, and contributing directly to an event that celebrates community on a global scale.
Hugo Lachance, CEO of Amilia, explains why this involvement matters so deeply to the company:
“When we decided to support YMCA World Council, we knew we wanted to do more than sponsor the event. Having our employees volunteer was a natural extension of our partnership with the YMCA Movement. It's an opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way, build relationships, and better understand the communities we work with every day.”
Kristen Clayton, CFRE, Vice President, Philanthropy at YMCA Canada, speaks to what this level of involvement means for the movement:
"We are incredibly grateful for Amilia’s unique participation at YMCA World Council 2026. Their team is generously sharing their time, expertise, and energy to help create an exceptional experience for delegates from around the world. Their commitment reflects the collaborative spirit of the YMCA and shows what's possible when organizations come together with a shared purpose."
As volunteers, Amilia employees will help bring the World Council event volunteer motto, "Host with HEART", to life by creating meaningful moments of connection throughout the delegate experience. Their participation reflects Amilia's ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves—not only through technology, but by investing in the people at the heart of them.
